In the meantime, it has opened construction roads at the forest land, for the safe transport of considerable timber by the professional transport fleets of the company; to make it convenient for the timely transport and sale of timber, the company has purchased considerable processing equipment such as standing saw and horizontal saw at home to establish a professional sawing workshop; it has purchased over 230 sets of medium and large construction machineries and transport vehicles such as American Caterpillar, Japan’s Komatsu, Germany Benz, Shaanxi Automobile and Shantui of China to establish a professional transport fleet of vehicles for the transport of cargos abroad; the company has constructed a private dock in the capital Libreville, self-purchased M/V Vanbloom with a carrying capacity of 37 thousand tons to provide the all-round and most convenient freight transport service from China to African countries so as to ensure the trade between Africa and China. 　　Currently, the company has established subsidiaries in Equatorial Guinea, Cameroon and Togo to engage in the trade of timber between China and Africa. It has established a professional board mill, with 200-odd professional workers, which can produce 100 thousand cubic meters of timber each year with professional machines such as several sets of standing saws and horizontal saws. Specifications of Major Timbers
Okoume（okoume）　　Okoume is a kind of timber from Africa, mainly produced in countries such as Equatorial Guinea and Ghana. It’s a kind of soft miscellaneous tree, with compact and delicate texture, a color of brown red, simple and natural. The decoration style is elegant but enthusiastic, which is often used as decorative materials for high-rank furniture. Megaphanerophyte, 25-35 m high, with a diameter of 1.0-2.5m, with big roots, and the honor of “King of African Trees”, which is the most important material for Western African plywood with the largest number. Tali Wood 　　With scattered pores, the core timber shows yellow and orange brown, with interlocked grains, heavy, hard and firm and tenacious, with an extremely steady timber property, beautiful pattern. The core timber is more durable, shows crossed lines. The edge and core timbers are divided distinctively, with an even structure; the timber is of luster; without special odor; intermingled with golden lines, with grand and beautiful luster, appropriate price. The pineapple-pattern wood is the steadiest among the existing types of timber, with very few after-sale complaints, which is the major panel on the current market as well as the material with the highest cost performance. It’s honored as “red wood”, containing oil, with a strong resistance against dampness and ants, and a strong durability. Timber properties: With a strong luster, crossed textures, appropriate structure, very heavy and solid, with a high strength; and a very great dried shrinkage. It’s hard to be sawed and easy to blunt the saw. The sawing can stimulate the nose and throat; with a good performance for sanding, turning and binding. Very resistant to corrosion and white ants. OVENGKOL 　　Megaphanerophyte, 15-18 meters high, with a diameter of 0.6-0.9 m. Barks: 1.0-1.5 cm thick, solid, and not easy to peel off. Outer skin is flat and smooth, grey brown and light grey yellow; easy to peel off in small thin pieces. The internal skin is deep brown, with firm and tenacious skin fiber which is a bit developed. The core timber is pitch-black or black brown. With thin wall tissue at the axle direction and fine lines at the chordwise, evenly arranged, often forming webs with wood rays. The timer is very heavy and solid, with an air-dry density often larger than 0.8g/cm3. 　　It’s suitable for slicing of veneer, plywood, senior furniture, wood molding, housing architecture, durable timber, floor, kitchen facilities, wood buckets for chemicals and suitable for sculpture, musical instrument, artworks, Mosaic, machined products, tool handle, etc.
PTEROCARPUS 　　Native to the tropical Western Africa and east of Africa, this type of wood is mainly distributed in the evergreen rainforest belts of Equatorial Africa from Nigeria to Angola, with luster, a mild aroma. With straight and crossed texture, a mild structure, a mild and heavy weight, and mild in solidity, strength and dry shrinkage performance. With a good processing performance and a good performance in binding and nail-holding and with an air-dry density of 0.67~0.82g/cm³. 　　It’s used for the production of senior furniture, core-board, micro-veneer, plywood, instrument cabinet, insulation panel for the battery, machined products, sculpture, floor, tool handle, knife handle, and is also used for port, ship building, etc. for its resistance to corrosion.
MOVINGUI 　　With crossed texture, a compact and even structure; with fine wood patterns and luster; with good dryness and not easy to deform. With resistance to acidity, expensive, near the price of rosewood in the market. With an air-dry density of 0.72g/cm³. 　　It’s suitable for furniture, core-board, veneer, plywood, floor, staircase, wood bucket for chemical, ship building and refrigeration and insulation materials, etc.
AZOBE Megaphanerophyte, the tree can be as high as 40-45 m, with straight trunks, a diameter of 1.5m. It mainly grows in the regions such as rainforest and swamps, and distributed in Western Africa. Its core timber is red brown and dark brown, the edge timber is pink white, 50 cm wide. The timber is very heavy, of a high strength, very difficult to get dry, with a poor nail-holding power, a good durability, with resistance to acidity and corrosion and very hard to impregnate. Difficult to process. With a good performance in binding and polishing, with an air-dry density of 1.0g/cm³. It’s suitable for outdoor floors, indoor railings, landscape pavilions, wood bridges, wood planks, corridor frames and waterside terrace, and is often used at places such as deck, sculpture, indoor floor, and decorative panels.
DOUSSIE 　　The walnut varies in quality. The core timber is generally light red brown to brown grey, a bit purple, with a color pleasing and elegant to the eyes, sometimes with beautiful spots or stripes; the edge timber is light in color, and shows grey white or light brown. The tree roots and tumor, etc. are often accompanied with special patterns. After being sawed into thin wood, it’s very precious decorative materials. The walnut is of a mild and a bit hard solidity, the fiber structure is delicate and even, relatively firm and tenacious, with a splendid performance especially in the aspects such as anti-vibration and resistance to wear, with certain resistance to bending and corrosion, but the edge timber often needs to be painted to be moth-proof. 　　It’s suitable for the places with a high requirement for outdoor durability, heavy architectures, port construction, ship building, senior furniture, floor, senior core-board, sliced veneer and buckets for chemicals, etc.
ACAJOU 　　Megaphanerophyte, 31-40m high, with a diameter reaching 2m, with high and large roots. There are 8 species, distributed in the rainforest regions of Western Africa and Southern Africa, with luster, straight and a bit crossed texture, with a fine structure, a soft to mild texture, a mild strength and a small dry shrinkage. It’s easy to rotary-cut and slice; with a good performance in painting, binding, nailing, dyeing, a bit resistant to corrosion. Quick to dry, with a good quality. With an air-dry density of 0.51~0.64g/cm³. 　　It’s suitable for senior furniture, sliced micro-veneer, plywood, decorative veneer, Mosaic board, core-board, internal decorative panels of vehicles and vessels, musical instrument and sports facilities, etc. It can be used as a substitute for African sapelli and African sipo, with the honor of African mahogany.
WENGE 　　Distributed in the global sub-tropical regions, it’s mainly produced in Southeastern Asia and South America, which is named so for its similarity to the texture of “Chicken Wing”. With crossed texture, clear and prominent colors, it’s a kind of relatively beautiful wood among the red woods, with delicate aroma, and not prominent growth rings. With luster, it shows a feel of oil. With straight textures, the structure is rough and not even, with a solid quality and a high strength, the dry shrinkage is very large. With a air-dry density of 0.88g/cm³. 　　It’s suitable for senior furniture, sliced micro-veneer, interior decoration, floor, core-board, sports facilities and sculpture, etc.
SIPO 　　, distributed in the tropical regions of Africa, with luster and aroma of rosin. With crossed texture, a mild structure, and a mild weight, strength and dry shrinkage rate. Easy to be processed and easy to blunt the saw; with a good performance in painting, binding, nailing and polishing. Resistant to metal, a bit resistant to corrosion. It’s a bit slow to get dry, with a bit end crack and deformation. With an air-dry density of 0.58~0.66g/cm³. 　　It’s suitable for sliced micro-veneer, veneer, plywood panel, senior furniture, interior decoration, core-board and sculpture and can also be used as a substitute for Mahogany.
sapelli 　　It’s a tree species with few big roots. It can be as high as 45m, with a chest diameter often above 1.0m. The timber is of scattered pores, with a distinctive division of core and edge timber; the newly-cut face of the core timber shows red brown, and gradually turns red brown or iron rust brown similar to mahogany, with the oxidization of atmosphere; the edge timber is light red to light yellow and white, with a width of 6-11cm. The timber is of luster; air-dry timber, especially the fresh cut face is of a strong aroma like Chinese toon (so is the bark), without any special taste. 　　It’s suitable for slicing of micro-veneer, veneer, core-board; the timber has a high strength, a large air density, a high solidity, durability, resistance to white ants, which is suitable for making floors and high-rank furniture, the indoor decorative accessories and chair rails; the cupboard, indoor and outdoor core-board products, doors and windows; ship, high-rank musical instrument and slicing of decorative veneers, etc.
kosipo With luster, crossed texture, appropriate structure, weight and strength; high dry shrinkage. It’s a bit difficult to be sawed, with a good performance in turning and slicing; with a good performance in nailing, sanding, binding and painting, a bit resistant to corrosion. Slow to dry, easy to be deformed and warp. With an air-dry density of 0.63~0.69g/cm³. It’s suitable for interior decoration, senior furniture, decorative veneers, core-board, floor, ship building, etc. and can be used as substitute for tube African sapelli.
BOSSE Megaphanerophyte, 50m high, with a diameter of around 1.0m. There’re 150 species, distributed in the tropical America and Africa. The species are mainly imported from regions such as Congo, Cameroon and Gabon, with an output not so large. With silk like luster, straight textures, fine and even structure, mild weight and strength; with a small dry shrinkage. Easy to be processed, with a smooth cutting face; with a good performance in binding, painting, nailing, dyeing and sanding, resistant to corrosion. Quick to get dried, with a bit warping. The sawing is stimulating to the skin and respiratory tract, with an air-dry density of 0.58g/cm³. It’s suitable for slicing of micro veneer, plywood, high-rank decorative materials, decorative veneers, core-board, ship building, sculpture, furniture and floor, etc. It can be used as a substitute for African sipo and used for the processing of doors and windows.
MIAMA Megaphanerophyte, 25-30m high, with a diameter of near 1.0m, with big roots. There’re 15 species, distributed in the tropical regions of Western Africa. The species are mainly imported from Equatorial Guinea, Cameroon and Gabon, very few in output. With luster, a bit crossed textures, a fine and even structure, solid and a high strength; with a very high dry shrinkage. It’s not hard to be processed. The sliced and cut face is not so flat; with a strong nail-holding power, which needs to be punched first. It’s a bit resistant to corrosion. It’s dry and easy to deform and warp, with an air-dry density of 0.76~0.89g/cm³. It’s suitable for interior decoration, veneer, sliced thin wood, furniture, floor, durable timber, core-board and wood mold, etc.
